After I graduated from Gerlesborgskolan I rented a studio at the old school on Jarlaplan in Stockholm, together with Aurora Lewén, Patrik Gustavsson and Susanna Slöör. Magnus Sjöbleke was also renting in the building. Though I mainly experimented with other expressions I also did some conventional painting. I was very interested in the resonance of color, and made a lot of effort to fine tune them. I looked a lot at the paintings of Nicolas de Staël, and felt that I suddenly had a different experience of color.
